When coming up with configurations for a point-of-sale advertising display, the ad or media itself must be considered. For this particular device, the media used would be two 3x5 rectangular prints, one on each side of the device. So regardless of the overall form of the device, it must still be able to successfully house and display rectangular media.
Mounting options were also a big consideration. These displays needed to have the ability to be mounted on shelves, windows, and flat surfaces. Metal brackets were engineered in 3D CAD programs for shelf mounting solutions while plastic bases with four suctions cups were designed for windows and flat surface mounting.
